Hosted by the Montgomery AFCEA Chapter, this event allows attendees to engage with speakers, panel members, and other Government and Industry leaders in understanding how the Government can work with their contractor partners to deliver collaborative IT solutions and make them operational in a timely and effective manner for the Warrior. The Montgomery IT Summit has been designated as an alternate duty location for the Air Force Business and Enterprise Systems (BES) Directorate.

The theme for this year is “Revolutionizing the Pursuit of IT”. This year, as in previous years, Montgomery IT Summit highlights up-to- the-minute trends in Air Force programs and technology. We bring in the best and brightest DoD and Industry Leaders to inform attendees of the current state of Information Technology and its use within the US Air Force. Our Speakers and Panel members then close the loop by pointing out future growth areas and newly developing business opportunities for Industry participants.

December 7, 2018 – K3 teams with the Salvation Army to support the Angel Tree Project for a second year in a row

Once again K3 Solutions will be helping the Salvation army with their Christmas Assistance program. Through Community support and dedicated partners, the Salvation Army provides gifts at Christmastime to nearly 5,000 children across central Virginia.

About the Angel Tree Program
The Angel Tree Project is a personalized holiday assistance program in which an individual sponsor or group sponsor purchases new clothing and toys for a deserving child (or “Angel”) in need. Every year, thousands of families face the possibility that they may not be able to provide their children with Christmas gifts. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program has been running for over 35 years to ensure that these children have a wonderful holiday season with their families. In 2016, The Salvation Army, with the help of numerous generous sponsors, provided holiday gifts to over 14,000 children in the National Capital Area.

K3’s Contribution
This year, K3 employees “adopted” 30 children in Luray, Virginia, with the hopes that on Christmas morning, they will have smiles on their faces, seeing that Santa has come. This fantastic program was created by the Salvation Army, and it utilizes groups and businesses to help make Christmas the most wonderful time of the year for every family.

Here is a link to several photos showing the good work the Angel Tree Project does.

About the Salvation Army
The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
